They say that ‘life is a bowl of cherries’, but what does this statement mean? Cherries are delicious but at the centre there is a hard stone. Does this mean that life can be good on the outside, sweet and delicious, or does it mean that regardless of the sweetness that are always the hard times to deal with? Does it really matter how we interpret the saying? Of course not, because what we can do is taste the sweetness of the fruit knowing that without the stone there would be nothing to delight in. Just like life, regardless of the hard beginning with enough time things can become sweeter and nourish us.
